With Bold, NEUTRA explores new material possibilities, introducing metal as the central element. The result is a wide, assertive seat designed by DRAW Studio.
In the spirit of lightness
Bold is enclosed by two metal sheets that wrap around the seat and flow together at the back, forming a thin, elongated tail.
From this same structure, the material extends to shape the armrests: generous in scale yet extremely reduced in thickness, carved from the same metal sheets in a continuous gesture that eliminates all visible joints.
The design unfolds through folded surfaces rather than assembled volumes, where each element seems to arise naturally from the next, without interruption.
In contrast, the extra-large upholstered cushions sit within this slender metal frame: a precise interplay in which the firmness of metal embraces the softness of the cushions, offering both comfort and lightness at once.
The balance of matter
Bold breaks away from traditional seating design, challenging the material itself: metal is shaped in flexion, like a suspended bridge, strengthened by the very folds that form it.
No hidden reinforcements or additional structures are needed, its stability and strength come entirely from the design itself, developed by DRAW Studio.
The result is a slim, composed, and perfectly balanced side profile. Bold thus brings industrial language to a high level of engineering precision, while preserving its distinctive character: a statement of style and modernity, designed for those who seek a decisive, never ordinary perspective in furniture.
