Gabriele and Oscar Buratti set out in search of the pure form of elegance, the subtle, almost whispered kind that endures through time.
They gave it shape in the Birky seat, drawing inspiration from the sensual lines of a woman’s back and from an enduring icon of beauty, Jane Mallory Birkin, whose name also inspires the collection. It now evolves into an armchair, a natural extension that faithfully preserves the original design while opening it up into broader volumes and even more welcoming forms.
Its soft lines and carefully sculpted curves invite relaxation and express a rare versatility: the Birky armchair moves with ease and confidence across different settings, from residential living spaces to hospitality lounges, and even the most refined work environments.
A sophisticated, transversal aesthetic that adapts to multiple contexts without ever losing its identity, confirming its ability to engage with diverse design languages.
The Forms of Elegance

At the core of this vision are the soft, flowing profiles that invite touch, along with a gently tapered shell that shapes a slender yet ergonomic silhouette, amplifying the sense of comfort expressed through its volumes.
As in the chair version, references to haute couture and leather craftsmanship return: the edges are defined with a tailored sensibility, while the exposed zipper, borrowed from the world of fashion, becomes a distinctive stylistic detail that enhances the geometry of both seat and backrest.
This refined aesthetic is paired with new functionality: a cross-shaped base introduces a swivel mechanism, making the armchair even more versatile and dynamic.
