Ordos
Modular Sofa / by Stefano Gallizioli
Vast natural landscapes stretch out, inviting the gaze to drift away and freeing the mind to wander over their soft, welcoming surfaces. With his customary sensitivity, Stefano Gallizioli transforms a piece of furniture into a landscape fragment inviting one to slow down, breathe, experience space as a fluid, ever-changing and surprising journey.
The extension of relaxation
Vast sand plains, where the earth blends with the sky. Ordos is the translation of this vision: a platform that seems to float, suspended between the softness of cushions and the solidity of marble.
With its wide horizontal surfaces, the modular seating system evokes the uninterrupted vastness of a desert, where every shape is lost in the horizon. Its name, inspired by the Ordos Desert in Mongolia, recalls a landscape of rolling hills and plains, a refuge in the heart of a wild landscape.
A modular sofa that invites relaxation and contemplation, Ordos offers total comfort in a design that communicates both strength and serenity.

Form and function
Ordos’s naturalness reveals itself in a measured, almost instinctive balance between soft volumes and precious materials. The enveloping padding blends with the wide cushioning and elegant marble base, creating a composition that evokes calm, elegance, and proportion.
The different linearities meet in perfect harmony: the circular support, barely visible along the edges, discreetly interrupts the slightly angular geometry of the main body, adding rhythm and lightness to the overall composition.
The marble top amplifies the perception of spaciousness and relaxation which, like a suspended gesture, guides the eye and defines the forms. A detail that is not only aesthetic but becomes a ritual: a surface that combines function and beauty.
