An island of comfort. A refuge to surrender oneself, an invitation to dream and contemplate. Sao Miguel reinterprets the sofa as a regenerating, protected and immersive place. Its asymmetric curves shape fluid and natural domestic landscapes, evoking the feeling of a private island where balance and well-being are restored.
Living Landscape
Just like wind sculpted rocks caressed by the sun, Sao Miguel molds itself in the space with organic elegance. The collection — modular elements and poufs — recalls the essence and shapes of the namesake Azores archipelago island: a wild and poetic strip of land suspended in the Atlantic where nature and silence coexist in perfect harmony.
A source of inspiration from which Stefano Gallizioli’s vision was born for this project that translates the island’s almost circular shape into a soft and enveloping design. The sinuous forms of the collection, combined with the tilted profiles of the peninsula, recall the perpetual motion of the natural elements: water, wind, rock.
Sao Miguel fits naturally into the home environment, becoming a livable landscape. The sofa emphasizes this concept with its curved base, while the chaise longue, with its elongated line, gently glides through the space like a beach fading into the sea. A fluid, free flowing gesture that transforms the furniture into an experience.
An archipelago of comfort
More than just a sofa, Sao Miguel is a living sculpture, a stand-alone piece that redefines the boundaries of daily life. Just like an island surrounded by small rocks, the sofa is accompanied by a constellation of elements: an archipelago designed to welcome, support and inspire.
The poufs, available in various sizes, sit naturally alongside, completing the system with functionality and lightness. No mere accessories but dynamic presences that adapt to life’s necessities: extra seating, resting spots, extensions of comfort.
The same logic inspires the marble surface, which can be integrated into the chaise longue, transforming it into an autonomous island where elegance, relaxation, and versatility coexist.
