Atolls is a collection of coffee tables in perfect balance, independent forms that seek one another out, gently intersect, and shape the space around them. Designed by DRAW Studio, the collection is sculpted in marble and defined by the harmonious interplay of naturalness and contrast.
Movement and Perception
A composition of forms in constant dialogue, where independent elements come together to create ever-evolving configurations. Inspired by the ever-changing rhythms of nature, the Atolls collection embraces transformation, inviting new compositions with every arrangement.
Available in three sizes, the system is made up of standalone pieces that are intrinsically connected. Each tabletop is designed to nestle alongside the others, adapting naturally to create a shared identity while preserving its own distinct presence.
Their organic, intentionally irregular silhouettes suggest fragments of a single landscape, while the different marbles and their unique veining introduce a refined interplay of contrast, allowing each piece to express its own character. Like islands shaped by nature over time, Atolls celebrates the raw beauty of the material, transforming marble surfaces into dreamlike landscapes that evoke distant horizons.
Grounding the composition is a sculptural metal base. Formed by two gently curved steel sections placed side by side, each base echoes the relationship between the tops above: they meet without merging, creating a subtle sense of tension and balance. Sharp lines and clean vertical edges carve through the space like blades of light, producing a dynamic visual rhythm that shifts with every change of perspective.
Complementary Design
With Atolls, DRAW Studio translates into the form of a coffee table the idea of symbiosis between elements first explored in the Islas dining table. The collection continues a design research rooted in the belief that design is a dynamic, complementary force - one that is constantly evolving.
What initially appears to be a single object gradually unfolds into a system of interconnected pieces. Atolls can stand alone as a sculptural statement or come together as an archipelago of tables, bringing versatility, character, and functionality to any setting.
Its dynamic identity is further enriched by a wide selection of materials and finishes, allowing every composition to be tailored to its surroundings and creating a unique material landscape with each new configuration.
