A table seemingly in motion, a balance of shapes defying staticity. A design by Migliore+Servetto, the Coronae coffee table series, available in three sizes, portrays a refined and essential design where every detail is crafted to enhance the essence of the matter.
The pronounced, decisive, and angled profile of the tabletop is the defining and surprising detail when observing the Coronae table. A sharp, almost graphic line, a modulation of linearity that breaks the symmetry and transforms the table into a living surface capable of creating an ever-changing interaction with both natural and artificial light that refracts across its surface.
The asymmetry of the edge is no accident: it arises from the intersection of two concentric but dissimilar circles, carefully studied by Migliore+Servetto to impart a dynamic motion to the element. A dynamic concept echoed and emphasized in the base, a conical shape culminating in a cylinder. Tabletop and base create a play of forces, a visual tension between mass and lightness, between pure and opposing volumes.
