Monica Armani

Monica Armani, born in Trento, is an architect and designer who has built her own design language by weaving together memory and innovation. Her deep bond with her father, Marcello Armani, one of the leading figures of the Italian Rationalist movement in the 1960s, instilled in her a disciplined approach to creativity, a pursuit of balance between function and beauty, and a geometric rigor that serves as a form of freedom. Today, Monica continues this exploration, reinterpreting the past to design the future.

By her side is Luca Dallabetta, her partner in both life and work, and the manager of her Studio. Together, they have developed a design methodology that blends rationality and intuition, experimentation and precision, transforming every idea into a perfect balance of form and function.|| They have named this approach “Design in Molecules,” an alchemy of elements that combines creativity and logic, magic and precision. They embrace Mies van der Rohe’s iconic principle, “Less is more,” seeing simplicity as an absolute value and precision as an aesthetic expression. In her projects, Monica Armani translates vision and methodology into an essential language, where aesthetics and engineering merge seamlessly. Her signature style, rooted in the pursuit of geometric purity and Rationalist rigor, intertwines with the principles of industrial design, giving life to creations that combine formal harmony with advanced technical solutions.|| Over the years, her rigorous yet elegant style has captivated some of the most prestigious italian and international brands, with whom she collaborates to develop distinctive collections. Among these, she has designed bestsellers for B&B Italia, Zucchetti, Tribù, Luceplan and Varaschin.
