Like a large open book with its pages unfolding to welcome and reflect the light, Pagina is a modular bookshelf that accentuates the space with rhythm and matter harmony. A By design duo Migliore+Servetto, Pagina interacts with the environment and who inhabits it, giving life to a new narrative of living. Pagina goes beyond the ordinary in form, materials and function. Its essence reveals itself in a mutable linearity that surprises and captivates. Its asymmetric lines chase each other, creating a dance of solids and voids, an invitation to explore, touch and immerse oneself.
The uprights alternate in a textural score: the gleaming coldness of metal embraces the vibrant veining of marble, while the shelves seem to float, suspended like pages turned by the wind. Each element is designed to welcome light, which slides, refracts, and plays with the surfaces, offering new chiaroscuro effects and suggestions.
