Micelio is an ever-expanding organism, a living system that grows and transforms within the space it finds itself in. New to the collection is a swivel seat, heightening the sense of movement and interaction between parts which can exist individually or in pairs.
Generating Connections
atelier oï redefines the concept of natural stone, going beyond its static and monolithic appearance. They break it down, shape it and mold it, making it fluid and malleable, thus becoming a living material, capable of movement and transformation. Micelio is born from this vision; a forever evolving collection that now also includes seating in addition to its coffee tables.
The studio draws inspiration from the invisible nature of mycelial networks: the connection between elements, the flow of forms and the possibility of infinite configurations. Likewise, each element in this marble collection seems to be part of an expanding organism, ready to reshape itself and adapt.
The fil rouge of the collection is the integrated rotational movement, herby applied to the seat and generating spontaneous interaction between bodies and space. Micelio is not just a seating system: it is an organic ecosystem that adapts, breathes and evolves, offering an immersive and unexpected experience within the matter.
Soft as stone
How can stone transform into comfort and warmth? With Micelio, atelier oï responds to this question by overturning perception. The solidity of the matter becomes a safe refuge, cradling the body with perfectly curved shapes and cushioning designed for relaxation.
The rotating movement adds a sense of natural flow, enhancing the feeling of well-being and encouraging spontaneous interaction with space and other elements of the collection. The Micelio armchair, in fact, expands into a variety of configurations: it can be arranged face-to-face, close a chain of seating, or be part of a composition ending in a practical side table.
