Minimal
Freestanding Basin / by Nespoli e Novara
Totemic strength. Refined simplicity. Minimal reimagines the monolithic washbasin through the purity of marble, elevated by refined finishes and craftsmanship that merges artisanal tradition with industrial precision. In this project, stone reveals its most authentic and vibrant character—offered in two distinct versions, each thoughtfully designed for the spaces of contemporary living.
3D Texture
Minimal reveals its innate, natural spirit through two material expressions—distinct in finish, yet unified by a sculptural, columnar form.
The first interpretation is defined by the bold Random split-face finish, which wraps the cylindrical volume in a rhythmic engraving carved into stone. Fine horizontal grooves trace the surface, creating a tactile, three-dimensional texture that catches and refracts light. The result is a harmonious, deliberate sequence—imbued with balance, precision, and architectural clarity. In this dialogue between craftsmanship and raw material, the stone asserts its most expressive nature: veins and tonal nuances emerge with striking clarity, shaped by the interplay of depth, relief, and chiaroscuro.
This material harmony finds its most evocative expression in the Verde Antigua marble variant—where nature itself is elevated into pure aesthetic celebration.

Fluid Effect
A vortex of tonal nuances, a flow of freeform veining that dances across the stone like waves on a mirrored surface. The version of the Minimal washbasin celebrates the purity of the cylindrical form, allowing the material itself to take center stage with strong artistic expression.
In the textured marble variants in particular, the surface becomes a natural canvas. Veins interlace in a hypnotic, irregular rhythm—yet one that remains perfectly harmonious.
The honed finish offers a tactile softness, almost velvety to the touch, guiding the hand and eye along an unbroken line toward the basin, the culminating point of a design defined by fluidity and coherence.
